Frequently asked questions

Here is what you need to know before visiting our Akron studio

How do I book an appointment?

Simply fill out our online booking request form with your design idea, placement, preferred size, budget, and reference images. Our artists will review and reach out directly.

How are tattoo prices determined?

Pricing depends on size, detail, placement, and whether the project is priced as a flat rate or by hourly sessions. We provide upfront estimates before work begins.

Do you accept walk-ins?

While custom large-scale work requires advance booking, we occasionally welcome walk-ins for flash and smaller designs depending on daily artist availability.

What should I do before my session?

Get a full night of sleep, stay well hydrated, and eat a substantial meal beforehand. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo placement area.

How should I care for my fresh tattoo?

Keep the bandage on as directed, wash gently with fragrance-free antibacterial soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare balm. Full guidelines are on our aftercare page.

Can I bring reference photos?

Yes, absolutely. Photos, sketches, and color schemes help your artist understand your aesthetic direction while creating a custom design tailored just for you.

Essential Tattoo Aftercare Guidelines

Initial healing and washing

Leave your protective bandage on as advised by your artist. Once removed, wash your tattoo gently with clean hands using lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free antibacterial soap. Pat dry carefully with a clean paper towel—never scrub or rub. Allow it to air dry for a few minutes, then apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer or tattoo ointment.

Long-term protection and care

Keep your new tattoo clean and lightly moisturized 2 to 3 times daily for the first two weeks. Avoid soaking in tubs, swimming pools, or saunas until fully healed, and keep the area shielded from direct sunlight. Do not pick or scratch peeling skin or scabs. If you ever have questions or concerns about the healing process, reach out directly to our Akron studio.

Routine and rest

Giving your body time to rest is just as vital as washing and moisturizing. During the first two weeks, keep your fresh tattoo completely shielded from direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds entirely, as UV rays can cause severe fading, irritation, and delayed healing.

We also strongly advise taking a break from intense gym sessions, heavy lifting, and activities that cause heavy sweating. Strenuous movement stretches healing skin, while shared gym equipment harbors bacteria that can lead to infections. Once your tattoo is fully healed, always apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to keep your ink crisp and vibrant for years to come.

Have questions or healing concerns?

Your health and comfort is our top priority. If you notice unusual redness, irritation, or simply have questions about your healing tattoo, do not hesitate to contact your artist right away. Our artists are here to support you through every stage of this process.
